ELMHURST, Ill. - Western Illinois forward Martin Browne, Jr., and Oakland midfielder Jeff Cheslik were named The Summit League's Men's Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the week of Oct. 26-31.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Browne earned his fourth career Offensive Player of the Week honor and first of the season after scoring a pair of goals in Western Illinois' 4-1 victory over Oral Roberts Saturday. The senior forward knotted the game at one in the 41^st minute and struck again seven minutes later as the Fighting Leathernecks clinched a berth in The Summit  League Tournament with the win. His four-point performance pushed his season total over 12 for the second consecutive season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Cheslik garnered his first career Defensive Player of the Week award after scoring the golden goal in a 2-1 Oakland victory over UMKC that clinched the Golden Grizzlies' third consecutive regular season title. During the match, Cheslik also put up a strong defensive effort against UMKC's John Bayron Sosa, the league leader in assists. Cheslik's game-winner was the first goal of his collegiate career.
