North Dakota State 2, Centenary 0
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- (www.gocentenary.com) In its final regular season game, the Centenary women's soccer team took a tough 2-0 loss to North Dakota State on Monday morning.

The Ladies (11-6-1, 3-5-1 Summit) experienced what proved to be the best season yet, after making a late run in league play, coming up just short of the conference tournament.

The North Dakota State defense held Centenary to just five shots, none reaching on goal for the match. Off the bench, Ladies' top scorer Katie Valdez led with two shots, while seniors Kristine Weaver and Lauren Cheaney, along with sophomore Chelsea Granger had one.

The Bison were able to score twice within three minutes. Both goals were scored by Abbey Stratton. The first came at the 27 minute mark and the final goal was minutes later at 29:55 on an assist by Quin Ryan that reached past Centenary keeper Kate Donnelly off a header.

North Dakota State tallied 16 shots as each team totaled four corner kicks.

Donnelly was in goal all 90 minutes in her final collegiate match, making six saves.

Centenary played the Bison on the campus of UMKC due to the rescheduled match earlier this season because of inclement weather in the Shreveport area.
