TULSA, Okla. (orugoldeneagles.com) - Sterling Copeland scored the game's only goal to lead Oral Roberts to a 1-0 victory over Northeastern State, Tuesday at ORU Soccer Complex.
Copeland scored off a long cross from Jim Reinsma in the 59th minute, as ORU improved its record to 7-8-2. NSU dropped to 8-8-0.
Irving Perlata pitched a shutout in goal for the Golden Eagles, posting four saves in earning his first win since last season. NSU's Matt Murrell stopped four shots.
The Golden Eagles out-shot the Riverhawks, 14-11.
