ELMHURST, Ill.  - Summit League volleyball player Emily Harrison, from Western Illinois, was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team. Harrison was selected as a second team district 5 honoree.

The Edwardsville, Ill., native, who carries a cumulative 4.0 grade point average with a major in early childhood education, earned the honor for the second consecutive season. Harrison is a three-time academic all-Summit League selection and she was named to The Summit League commissioner's list of academic excellence last season.

Harrison has compiled 284 kills throughout her career at Western for an average of 1.42 kills per set.
