IUPUI’s Agaba, Oakland’s Hildebrandt and WIU’s Paterson Earn Final Season's Player of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. - IUPUI forward Perez Agaba, Oakland's Mitch Hildebrandt and Western Illinois' Stephen Paterson named as The Summit League's Men's Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the week of Nov. 1-7. The awards mark the final weekly honors of the season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Perez Agaba, So., IUPUI
F, So., Kampala, Uganda/King's College Budo
Agaba earned his second career Offensive Player of the Week honor and first of the season after scoring the first goal in IUPUI's 3-2 victory at Centenary Saturday. The sophomore forward opened the scoring at 49:22 with a shot into the bottom right corner of the goal. IUPUI went on to an overtime victory that moved them into a tie for second-place in the league standings. Agaba has 11 points on four goals and three assists this season.

DEFENSIVE CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
 
Mitch Hildebrandt, Oakland

Hildebrandt collected his third Defensive Player of the Week award of the season's after a double overtime shutout of Western Illinois Saturday. The sophomore goalkeeper made six stops to preserve a 0-0 tie against the league's second-place team. Hildebrandt's shutout was his league-high seventh this season.

 
Stephen Paterson, Western Illinois
GK, Sr., Thunder Bay, Ontario/Sir Winston Churchill
Paterson earned his fourth career Defensive Player of the Week award and second of the year after a shutout of regular season champion Oakland Saturday. The senior goalkeeper made four saves in a 0-0 double overtime tie. The shutout was the 21st of his career, establishing a new school record.
