Perez captures the Men's Athlete of the Month honor after registering six goals and two assists in eight matches. The senior scored the game-winner in a 1-0 overtime win over Western Illinois and also had two matches with both a goal and assist (Air Force, Centenary). Perez's goal against the Fighting Leathernecks set a new school record for career goals with 27, while his three-point performance vs. the Gents set a new Kangaroo school record for career points with 65. A two-time Offensive Player of the Week in October, Perez scored a goal in six-of-eight matches during the month, while moved him into the top position for goals and points on The Summit League leaderboard. The Miami, Fla., native netted goals in five consecutive matches from Oct. 12-27, helping UMKC to a 4-3-1 record during the month and a berth in the league tournament for the third straight season.

Underwood collects Women's Athlete of the Month honors following three multi-goal matches and setting two school records in the process. For the month, the freshman collected eight goals in nine matches, along with one assist and one game-winning goal for 17 points. At month's end, Underwood led the league in goals (11) and was second in points (24). The Fort Wayne, Ind., native scored eight of her team's 14 goals during the month of October, while accounting for 11-of-21 on the season. The Oct. 19 Offensive Player of the Week, Underwood set school records for both single-season goals (11) and single-season points (24). She also helped IPFW to three league wins after collecting just one in the previous two seasons combined.
