SUMMIT LEAGUE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT BEGINS
The Summit League Softball Championship begins today (May 14) with No. 1 seeded Western Illinois facing No. 4 South Dakota State at 2 p.m. (CT) from the Ellig Sports Complex in Fargo, N.D. Game two matches up No. 2 IPFW against No. 3 North Dakota State at 4 p.m. (CT). OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS CONTINUE
After the first day of competition at The Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Oakland and held at the University of Toledo track, Southern Utah holds the lead on both the men's and women's side. NCAA TENNIS TOURNAMENTS BEGIN THIS WEEKEND
In the women's tournament, IPFW (24-5) will face No. 5 national seed Notre Dame (23-3) in a first round match today (May 14) at 1 p.m. (ET) in South Bend, Ind. The winner of the IPFW-Notre Dame match will face either Iowa (17-5) or Boise State (22-5) on Saturday, May 15. In the men's tournament, Oral Roberts (7-8) will take on No. 7 national seed Baylor (21-5) in Waco, Texas in first round play on Saturday (May 15). The winner of the ORU-Baylor match will meet either Rice (14-10) or Washington (17-5) on Saturday (May 16). For more information, click here.

NCAA MEN'S GOLF REGIONAL PAIRINGS ANNOUNCED

The Oral Roberts men's golf team was placed in San Diego for the NCAA Regionals, which begin play on May 20 and conclude May 22. UMKC's Korbin Kuehn and Western Illinois' Kyle Peterman each earned individual selections from the league as well. Kuehn was assigned to the Regional in Alpharetta, Ga., while Peterman heads to Bremerton, Wash., for his Regional site. Click here to read the complete release.

WOMEN'S GOLF WRAPS UP NCAA REGIONAL PLAY
Oral Roberts and NDSU's Amy Anderson concluded their seasons at the NCAA West Regional at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., last weekend. The Golden Eagles placed 23rd with an overall score of 955 (319-318-318), while Anderson tied for 17th place overall as an individual. To read the complete release, click here.

CENTENARY ANNOUNCES NEW MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH
Centenary Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Tallach announced this week that Adam Walsh has been named the new head coach of the Gents basketball program. Walsh will take over after serving as an assistant for the last three years and will be the 21st head coach in the history of the program. Click here for more details.

WIU'S KWATERSKI TO SERVE AS GRADUATION MARSHAL
Western Illinois golfer Shane Kwaterski will serve as a graduation marshal during WIU's undergraduate commencement ceremony Saturday, May 15. Kwaterski will graduate summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in marketing after finishing with a 4.0 grade point average. A team captain, Kwaterski carried a stroke average of 78.5 per round throughout 51 career rounds. For more information, click here.

SUMMIT LEAGUE TEAMS HONORED BY NCAA
Six Summit League teams were bestowed with the NCAA Public Recognition Award, an honor given to teams that have a Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. IPFW led The Summit League with three teams on list including men's cross country, women's golf and volleyball. The additional three league teams honored were UMKC volleyball, North Dakota State women's golf and Oakland women's golf. Click here for more information.
