ELMHURST, Ill. -- (www.orugoldeneagles.com) Oral Roberts junior Amber Hensley qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur on Tuesday after finishing in a six-way tie atop the leader board at the Kansas City Country Club. The U.S. Amateur Championship is August 8-15 at Charlotte Country Club in North Carolina.

Hensley, the 2010 Summit League Tournament champion, tied for the top spot with a 3-over par 73. She qualified despite bogeying three of her final four holes.

A two-time All-Summit League performer and the 2009 Summit Newcomer of the Year, Hensley helped lead the Golden Eagles to their 13^th straight conference championship last spring with a 76.5 stroke average.

Fellow ORU golfers Crystal Reeves, Kylie Bollenbach and Eve Santillan competed in the qualifying in Kansas City but failed to advance.
