2012 Scholar-Athlete of the Year Nominees – Oral Roberts

Each day, The Summit League will feature one institution’s male and female student-athlete nominees for The Summit League Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, the highest award bestowed by the league.  The award honors the outstanding academic achievement, athletic achievement, attitude and leadership of one male and one female student-athlete.  The award is voted on by the league’s faculty athletic representatives and will be announced on Thursday, June 28.

Shadrack Koech, Cross Country and Track & Field
Sr. // 3.73 GPA // Major: Accounting

Academic Achievements
ORU President Cup winner … President’s Honor Roll selection … Member of the Accounting Honor Society.

Athletic Achievements
Two-time first team All-League Cross Country … Earned second team All-League honors in 2009.

Other Campus Curricular or Extracurricular Activities
Member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and The Accounting Society at ORU … Volunteered and lead a ministry at Tulsa International Fellowship and at various track events around Tulsa … Tutored and mentored autistic students at Greater Grace Academy … Interned at a local CPA firm for the past year and a half.

Kristen Radcliff, Cross Country and Track & Field

Named the 2012 Summit League Outdoor Track MVP and the 2011 Indoor Track MVP … 2011 All-Midwest region selection … Two-time All-League honoree.
