In baseball action this weekend, Western Illinois is at Fort Wayne while Omaha heads to Fargo to face North Dakota State in four-game sets … In non-league play, South Dakota State is hosting Air Force in a three-game series in Brookings … North Dakota State’s Wes Satzinger leads the nation in doubles per game at 0.60 … With South Dakota State’s win over Minnesota, the Jackrabbits have beaten the Golden Gophers five-straight times on South Dakota soil …
Golf enters the final week of the regular season before The Summit League Championships begin … On the men’s side, Fort Wayne, IUPUI and Western Illinois will all be at the NYX Invitational hosted by Indiana … Denver is at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational and South Dakota is competing at the Big Blue Intercollegiate … In women’s action, Fort Wayne, South Dakota State and Western Illinois are at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational while IUPUI is at the Crusader/Jaguar Challenge.
Six teams are in league play this weekend … Second-place Fort Wayne welcomes third-place Omaha, after the Mavericks defeated No. 22/19 Nebraska in non-league action on Tuesday … South Dakota hosts Western Illinois and South Dakota State welcomes league leader North Dakota State … Five teams and 11 players are ranked in the NCAA top-30, including rankings in the top-10 in 11 stat categories and No. 1 in the nation in two … A pair of Summit League players are ranked in multiple categories … Western Illinois’ Sammy Marshall is ranked in the top-10 in four categories, first in batting average (.522) and runs per game (1.36), seventh in stolen bases (0.82) and 10th in on-base percentage (.556) … Fort Wayne’s Miranda Kramer is ranked in the NCAA top-six in three categories, sixth in shutouts (8), strikeouts (196) & strikeouts per seven innings (11.2).

Summit League play heads down the stretch ahead of the April 25-27 championships … On this week’s men’s schedule, IUPUI (1-1) is at Omaha (1-3) Thursday, South Dakota State (2-1) at Denver (2-0) Friday, IUPUI at Denver on Saturday and South Dakota State meets IUPUI Sunday in Denver … Fort Wayne’s men are currently atop the league standings at 4-0 and finish the regular season April 18 at Denver … Women’s teams play non-league matches this week ahead of the final cluster of the season, April 18-20 at Denver … The Pioneers, ranked No. 70 in the latest ITA team rankings, lead The Summit League with a 3-0 record.
Track & Field
All league teams are competing this weekend with two teams at home … Western Illinois hosts the Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational, a three-day meet, while North Dakota State hosts the Team Nodak Decathlon/Heptathlon Friday and Saturday and the Lyle Hokanson Classic on Saturday … Summit Leaguers combined for seven times/marks ranked in the NCAA top-30, including two in the top-15 … North Dakota State’s Paige Stratioti is ranked seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 2:05.94 and South Dakota State’s Mary Wirth is tied for 11th in the high jump with a height of 5'10.75" (1.80m).
