Summit League Releases 2015 Fall Sports League Schedules

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Summit League released its schedule of 2015 regular season league contests for the fall sports of men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball today.

The seven men’s soccer teams will begin league play on Sept. 26, highlighted by a rematch of the tournament championship match between Denver and Western Illinois in Macomb.  League matches are scheduled every Saturday through Nov. 7.

In women’s soccer, the nine squads will begin league play the weekend of Oct. 2-4. Denver and South Dakota State meet in a rematch of last season’s championship finale on Oct. 11 in Denver while fellow tournament participants, IUPUI and North Dakota State, meet Oct. 30, in Indianapolis.

The double round-robin league volleyball schedule begins the weekend of Sept. 25-26 and concludes on Nov. 15. Regular season co-champions and championship finalists Denver and IUPUI battle on opening weekend (Sept. 26) in Indianapolis. The two squads meet again on Nov. 6 in Denver.

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of over 120,000 at nine institutions, including four located in top 60 U.S. metro populations and two land-grant universities. Member institutions include: Denver (University of Denver), Fort Wayne (Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne), IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis), North Dakota State University, Omaha (University of Nebraska Omaha), Oral Roberts University, the University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University and Western Illinois University. Previously known as the Mid-Continent Conference, The Summit League rebranded in 2007 and has since produced eight NCAA Champions along with over 65 All-Americans, 60 Academic All-America selections and numerous former student-athletes competing at the highest professional level.
