NDSU, ORU Capture Victories on Day One

TULSA, Okla. - North Dakota State's Max Casper singled to right
field to score Kyle Kleinendorst with two outs in the top of the
11th inning to give the third-seeded Bison a 3-2 win
over No. 2 Oakland in the first game of The Summit League
Championship presented by Currington Mortgage.
Trailing 2-1 after eight innings, NDSU's Nick Anderson belted a first-pitch homer, his fifth of the season, over the left field wall to lead-off the ninth inning to send the game to extra frames.
The Bison got on the board first when Wes Satzinger dropped a safety squeeze bunt to score Tim Colwell.
The Golden Grizzlies tied the game in the fifth inning on a single to center field, scoring John Estes. In the sixth inning, OU's Spencer Marentette singled through the left side to score Aaron Cieslak who walked to start the inning.
In a game with six combined errors, there were plenty of defensive highlights with three diving outfield catches and three runners thrown out at home plate. NDSU's Satzinger also made a highlight backhanded stab on a hard-hit ball at second base in the bottom of the seventh.
Tim Colwell led the Bison with four hits, while Kleinendorst added three hits. The Golden Grizzlies were led by Jake Morton with two hits.
Kyle Kingsley (6-3) notched the win for NDSU surrendering just one hit in three innings of relief with three strikeouts. Oakland's Russell Luxton (3-5) suffered the loss.
North Dakota State (39-18) advances to face the winner of the No. 1 Oral Roberts vs. No. 4 Southern Utah game tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Oakland (24-30) moves to the consolation side of the bracket and will face the loser of the ORU-SUU game.

TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts' Jose Trevino drove-in the game-tying
run and scored the game-winner in the bottom of the eighth giving
the Golden Eagles a 2-1 win over Southern Utah Thursday, at The
Summit League Baseball Championship presented by Currington
Mortgage.
Down 1-0 in the bottom of the eighth, ORU's Brandon Healy singled to right center and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jared Schlehuber. Trevino then doubled off the left field wall, scoring Healy to tie the game. The Newcomer of the Year scored the eventual game-winner on a single down the left field line by Cam Schiller.
Southern Utah got its lone run of the game in the sixth inning as Marcus Romero led off the frame with an infield single and advanced to second after Justin Neuhart was hit by a pitch. Following a fielding error by the shortstop, Romero scored on a sacrifice fly by Brad Royer.
Schiller led ORU with two hits and an RBI, while Mitchell Kauweloa had three singles for the Thunderbirds and Bo Cuthbertson added a pair of doubles.
Drew Bowen (6-2) picked up the win for Oral Roberts tossing eight innings with six strikeouts, no walks and no earned runs, while Joe Spring notched his second save of the season. Justin Neubauer (6-4) got the loss for Southern Utah in 7.2 innings of work. Neubauer surrendered just five hits and had two punch-outs.
The Golden Eagles (34-22) will face No. 3 North Dakota State at 3:30 p.m. Friday, while the Thunderbirds (19-35) take on No. 2 Oakland in the first game of the day at noon from J.L. Johnson Stadium.
