Summit League Announces Weekly Golf Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - UMKC's Korbin Kuehn, Western Illinois' Kurt Slattery, IUPUI's Lauren Kuss and North Dakota State's Amy Anderson were named The Summit League's Golfers of the Week for their performances April 12-17.
MALE GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
Korbin Kuehn, UMKC
Jr., (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Vally West)
Kuehn collects his fourth award this season and fifth of his career after firing a three-round 209 (72-69-68) for a third-place finish at the Hawkeye Invitational last week. It was his fourth top-10 finish of the season and he now has 13 round at or below par on the year. UMKC finished seventh in a tournament with four teams ranked in the top-90 in the nation. Kuehn was only topped by a golfer from No. 26 Iowa and No. 61 Iowa State.
Kurt Slattery, Western Illinois
Sr., (Taylor Ridge, Ill./Indian Hills CC)
Slattery earns his second Golfer of the Week award this season after recording two eagles, one from 125 yards on the second hole, at the Detroit Titans Invitational. The senior shot a 54-hole 209 (73-70-66) to win the tournament and head WIU to a third-place finish. Slattery's final round 66 is tied for the league-low this season and four of his last six rounds have been under par.

FEMALE GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
Lauren Kuss, IUPUI

Kuss records her first career Golfer of the Week award after finishing in a tie for first place in the rain-shortened Indiana Invitational. The junior shot a one-over 73 which was a career-low and tied for medalist honors before falling in a three-hole playoff.
Amy Anderson, North Dakota State
Jr., (Oxbow, N.D.)
Anderson earns her fifth career award and first this season after placing first at the Creighton Classic with a two-round 149 (74-75). The Bison finished in fourth place in the 14-team tournament. Anderson won the event for the third-straight year and captured her first victory of the spring after winning three of five events in the fall season.
