SDSU's Carpenter, NDSU's Anderson Named Golfers of the Week
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Hudson Carpenter and North Dakota State's Amy Anderson were named The Summit League's Male and Female Golfers of the Week for their performances March 6-12.
MALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Hudson Carpenter, South Dakota State

Carpenter collects his first career Golfer of the Week award after leading South Dakota State to a third-place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational. The junior shot a 6-under-par 210 (69-68-73) to finish in a tie for fourth place. His 54-hole score is fifth-best in school history. Carpenter had a tournament-high 19 birdies in the three rounds and is second in the league with a 72.23 stroke average this season.

FEMALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Anderson earns her seventh career Golfer of the Week award to go along with a pair of Golfer of the Month honors. The senior won her 17th career tournament after firing a 54-hole 209 (70-70-69) to finish 7-under-par. Her score of 209 set a new school record in a 54-hole event, winning the title by 14 shots. For the year, Anderson leads the league with a 72.79 stroke average, over five strokes lower than her closest competitor, in 19 rounds of play. With her 17th career victory, Anderson has tied the NCAA record set by LPGA golfer Juli Inkster of San Jose State, according to Golf World.
