IUPUI’s Juerling, FW’s Schroeder Named Men’s Golfers of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI's Jackson Juerling and Fort Wayne's Zach Schroeder was named Summit League Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance during the week of March 1-7.


JACKSON JUERLING, IUPUI
Jr. // Indianapolis, Ind.

  • Captured his first career Golfer of the Week award
  • Earned his first career individual medalist honor with a 36-hole 143 (70-73) at the Benbow Invitational
  • Won the tournament by five strokes and helped IUPUI finish in second place

ZACH SCHROEDER, FORT WAYNE
So.  // Lebanon, Ind.

  • Captured his first career Golfer of the Week award
  • Placed third out of 63 golfers at the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational with a 54-hole 218 (69-74-75)
  • His first round 69 set a new career-low
  • Took seventh place out of 74 competitors at the Lonnie Barton Invitational with a two-round 151 (74-77)
  • Had an individual stroke average of 73.8 in two tournaments on the week as the Mastodons placed second at the Lonnie Barton and fourth at the Gary Freeman
