Summit League Announces Men’s Basketball Broadcast Schedule

Summit League Announces Men’s Basketball Broadcast Schedule

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Summit League released its list of 2012-13 men's basketball broadcasts, a schedule that marks the largest offering in league history. At least 40 games will appear on national television with dozens more available via Internet, regional television and satellite packages.

For the second consecutive season, all 14 men's and women's games from the Summit League Basketball Championships will be nationally televised. Fox College Sports provides the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds while the ESPN Family of Networks airs both March 12 championship games. The women's championship is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU while the men's title game will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2 at 9 p.m. ET.

This season's schedule includes 13 intra-league men's matchups on Fox College Sports. Six of those games are part of three separate regular season doubleheaders. The trio of "Summit Saturdays" will air over a four-week span in January and February.

ESPNU will televise three primetime games involving Summit League teams, beginning with the opening night of the season, Nov. 9, when defending tournament champion South Dakota State plays at Alabama. The "U' will also air IUPUI at Michigan on Nov. 12 and Oakland at West Virginia on Dec. 19.

ESPN3 will feature an additional five games involving Summit League squads, including games against ACC, Big East and Big Ten opponents.

Additional broadcasts may be announced throughout the season. The present list of scheduled games is below.
