ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State sophomore guard Lawrence Alexander was named Summit League Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance Dec. 24-30.

Alexander garnered his first career honor after scoring 18 points and dishing out a season-high six assists to lead the Bison to a 65-62 win over South Dakota State. Nine of Alexander's 18 points were scored in the game's final five minutes. He played all 40 minutes for the first time this season (excluding overtime games) and did not commit a turnover during the second half. Alexander shot 60 percent (6-for-10) from the field, grabbed two rebounds and had one steal in the victory.
