South Dakota State 69, North Dakota State 53
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Nate Wolters scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds, helping South Dakota State rally past North Dakota State in the second half Saturday for a 69-53 victory.
Wolters, who became the first SDSU player to score 2,000 career points in a 59-53 win at Western Illinois on Thursday, was 7 of 16 from the floor, including three 3-pointers. Tony Fiegen and Jordan Dykstra added 14 points apiece for the Jackrabbits (16-6, 7-2 Summit League), and Dykstra now is six points shy of 1,000 for his career.
TrayVonn Wright had 16 points and Marshall Bjorklund pulled down 13 rebounds for the Bison (16-5, 7-2), who lost their second in a row following an eight-game winning streak.
NDSU led 37-31 at halftime but went cold in the second half, shooting 25 percent from the floor as SDSU outscored the Bison 38-16. The Jackrabbits shot 57 percent in the second half.
Oakland 67, Western Illinois 60
ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Travis Bader continued his scoring onslaught with 26 points Saturday, leading Oakland to a 67-60 victory over Western Illinois.
Bader, who scored a career-high 47 points and hit a school-record 11 3-pointers in Thursday's win over IUPUI, hit 5 of 12 shots from beyond the arc against Western Illinois. Overall, he was just 5 of 17 from the field but hit 11 of 13 free throws for the Golden Grizzlies (10-13, 5-4 Summit).
Duke Mondy added 18 points for Oakland, and Corey Petros had 12 rebounds.
Remy Roberts-Burnett led the Leathernecks (16-5, 8-2) with 16 points. Terell Parks added 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Jack Houpt had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Grizzlies scored six straight points to take a 58-52 lead with 3:24 remaining. Houpt hit a 3-pointer to pull the Leathernecks within 58-55, but Bader answered with a 3 of his own and Oakland hit 6 of 8 free throws down the stretch.
Fort Wayne 80, IUPUI 79 (OT)
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Frank Gaines scored 29 points, including two free throws with 3 seconds to play in overtime, and Fort Wayne defeated IUPUI 80-79 Saturday night.
The Mastodons (10-13, 3-6 Summit) made 12 of 19 3-pointers, or 63 percent, to help offset IUPUI's 63 percent overall accuracy from the field. Gaines was 6 of 9 from 3-point range.
Luis Jacobo had 13 points, including three 3s, for Fort Wayne. Joe Edwards scored 12 points and Michael Kibiloski scored 10.
Mitchell Patton scored 25 points to lead IUPUI, including the last four points of regulation to tie the game at 65. Donovan Gibbs had 17 points and Greg Rice scored 16.
The Jaguars (6-18, 1-9) have lost eight in a row, including Thursday's 89-71 defeat at Oakland when the Golden Grizzlies' Travis Bader scored a NCAA season-high 47 points.
IUPUI's last win was over Fort Wayne on Dec. 27 in Indianapolis.
Omaha 67, Kansas City 59
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Justin Simmons scored 21 points and John Karhoff added 16 on Saturday and Omaha defeated Kansas City 67-59.
Omaha (7-16, 4-6 Summit) trailed by 11 points at halftime, but outscored Kansas City 37-18 in the second half.
Omaha was 13 of 26 from the field in the second half and converted 9 of 10 free-throw attempts. Meanwhile, Kansas City (6-16, 3-6) hit made just 7 of 24 shots from the field after intermission.
C.J. Carters scored 11 points to help the Omaha cause.
Kansas City had a 38-30 rebounding advantage and 19-5 edge in bench points, but couldn't convert those into a victory.
Thomas Staton and Brad Reid each scored 12 points for Kansas City, and Reid added 13 rebounds.
