Fort Wayne 77, Oakland 71
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Frank Gaines scored 17 points and Luis Jacobo had 15 as Fort Wayne beat Oakland 77-71 Wednesday night, snapping the Golden Grizzlies' seven-game winning streak.

Fort Wayne (13-16, 6-9 Summit) trailed by one with about 4 minutes remaining before going on a 12-1 run. Jacobo nailed a 3-pointer and the Mastadons made 7 of 10 free throws during the spurt, which put them ahead 76-65 with 35 seconds remaining and helped them snap a 10-game losing streak against Oakland (15-14, 10-5).

Jacobo also had nine rebounds for Fort Wayne and Joe Reed added 14 points.

Travis Bader led Oakland with 23 points but was just 2 of 10 on 3-point attempts. He came into the game leading the country with 123 3-pointers this season. As a team, the Grizzlies were 5 for 20 beyond the arc and just 16 for 29 at the free-throw line.

Cal State Bakersfield 79, South Dakota State 78 (2OT)
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) - With his team down one with 0.5 seconds to play in double overtime, Stephon Carter stepped to the free-throw line and calmly hit a pair of free throws to give Cal State-Bakersfield a 79-78 win over South Dakota State on Wednesday night.

Carter finished with 22 points, was 9 of 12 from the free-throw line and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Roadrunners (11-16).

Adam Young hit a pair of free throws for the Roadrunners to tie it at 55 with 1:49 to go at the end of regulation and Javante Maynor had a chance with 17 seconds left to win it but missed his mark from 3-point range and the two teams went to overtime.

Young finished with 16 points and Maynor finished with 15. Brandon Barnes had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Nate Wolters didn't step off the floor for South Dakota State (21-8), playing all 50 minutes and scoring 32 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and nine assists.
