Fort Wayne 67, Denver 64
DENVER (AP) - Mo Evans scored 18 points and Steve Forbes added 16 with eight rebounds as Fort Wayne held off Denver 67-64 Thursday night.

The Mastodons (15-5, 3-0 Summit) trailed 40-31 after surrendering an 11-0 run in the second half. Evans responded, converting a three-point play and hitting two 3-pointers to spark a 16-2 surge and push Fort Wayne towards a 60-53 lead with 1:50 remaining.

Denver (7-10, 0-2) rallied as Brett Olson converted a three-point play and Bryant Rucker sank a 3-pointer to pull within one with 15 seconds left. Following two free throws by Pierre Bland, Olson couldn't connect on a 3-pointer in the final seconds.

The Pioneers had a 51.1 shooting percentage to Fort Wayne's 45.2, but the Mastodons hit 22 of 31 from the foul line. Bland had 13 points for Fort Wayne.

Cam Griffin paced Denver with 13 points, six boards and five assists.

North Dakota State 91, Omaha 69
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Taylor Braun had 20 points and North Dakota State shot 54.2 percent on Thursday night in a 91-69 home victory against Omaha.

The Bison opened the game on a 10-2 run, led by as many as 15 in the first half and cruised to victory in the second.

Lawrence Alexander had 14 points, Mike Felt had 13 and Marshall Bjorklund added 11. TrayVonn Wright and Kory Brown each added 10 for NDSU (13-5, 2-1 Summit League).

After falling behind 22-9, Omaha (10-7, 0-2) answered with a 13-6 run to close within six and managed to keep the halftime deficit at 10.

The Mavericks missed their first 7 shots from the field in the second half to create a 17-point gap as they went scoreless for the first 4 1/2 minutes

Justin Simmons led Omaha with 21 points, CJ Carter scored 16 and Devin Patterson 11.

South Dakota State 64, Western Illinois 55
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Jordan Dykstra scored 20 points and Brayden Carlson added 16 as South Dakota State jumped out to an early lead and never trailed in a 64-55 victory over Western Illinois on Thursday night.

The Jackrabbits (10-8, 2-1 Summit) started the game with eight straight points, and went ahead 34-27 at the half. They opened up the second half on a 7-0 run and led by as many as 15 points after the break.

Dykstra went 10 of 10 and Carlson finished 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. South Dakota State shot 20 of 22 on free throws (90.9 percent) while Western Illinois finished at 66.7 percent (12 of 18).

Cody Larson added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Jackrabbits.

Garret Covington led the Leathernecks (7-10, 1-1) with 24 points and three assists, and went 4 of 7 from behind the 3-point arc.

South Dakota 69, IUPUI 57
VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - Brandon Bos and Trevor Gruis combined to score 39 points as South Dakota pulled away in the second half for a 69-57 win over IUPUI on Thursday night.

South Dakota (7-9, 2-0 Summit League) outscored IUPUI 22-8 in the final 11:24 of the game after IUPUI had taken a 49-47 lead.

A Bos 3-pointer put the Coyotes up 50-49, and IUPUI (5-15, 0-3) made just two field goals the rest of the way as South Dakota continued to pull away.

Bos scored 21, including 13 in the second half. Gruis had 18, with 12 coming in the second half.

The Jaguars had a 33-32 lead at halftime before shooting just 29.2 percent after the break. The game had 11 lead changes and seven ties before South Dakota took charge in the second half.

Khufu Najee led IUPUI with 12 points and Donovan Gibbs added 11.
