South Dakota 75, Fort Wayne 61
VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - Karim Rowson scored 21 points and hauled in nine rebounds as South Dakota cruised past Fort Wayne in a 75-61 win on Saturday.

South Dakota (8-9, 3-0) overcame the Mastodons with two big drives, closing out the first half by scoring 17 of the last 25 points to carry a 33-23 advantage into the break, then broke open the game in the second half with a 17-4 run that made it 50-29 with 14 minutes to play.

Brandon Bos contributed 13 points and Adam Thoseby added 11 for South Dakota, which hit 28 of 63 from the field to win its fifth straight game.

Fort Wayne (15-6, 3-1) led midway through the first half but couldn't stop South Dakota's offense.

Luis Jacobo scored 19 points for the Mastodons, while Mo Evans had 13 points and five rebounds.

North Dakota State 65, Western Illinois 52
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Marshall Bjorklund scored 15 points and Taylor Braun 14 as North Dakota State defeated Western Illinois 65-52 on Saturday.

The game was tied at 30 at halftime and remained tight through the first 10 minutes of the second half in a game that had 14 lead changes and eight ties. Then Braun hit a pair of free throws to break a 44-44 tie. The free throws sent the Bison on their way to a 21-8 scoring advantage for the remainder of the game with Braun contributing six points and TrayVonn Wright five during that stretch. Wright finished with 12 points for the Bison (14-5, 3-1 Summit League).

NDSU had a 37-22 rebounding advantage including 13 on the offensive glass.

Michael Ochereobia tied a career high with 18 points, and his most against a Division I team, to lead the Leathernecks (7-11, 1-2). Jabari Sandifer added 13 and Garret Covington 11.

Omaha 80, South Dakota State 71
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Marcus Tyus scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half as Omaha rolled to an 80-71 victory Saturday over South Dakota State.

Tyus scored Omaha's first seven points to give the Mavericks a 7-6 lead, and they led the rest of the way. South Dakota State could only pull within four points, 48-44 with 13:02 remaining. Omaha had an 11-point lead twice in the second half.

CJ Carter scored eight of his 15 points from the line with less than a minute to play for Omaha (11-7, 1-2 Summit League). Justin Simmons scored 12 points for the Mavericks. John Karhoff added 11.

Brayden Carlson made 12 of 12 free throws on his way to a career-high 26 points to lead South Dakota State (10-9, 2-2). Carlson was 2 of 3 from 3-point range, but the Jackrabbits shot just 3 of 19 from beyond the arc.

Denver 66, IUPUI 45
DENVER (AP) - Chris Udofia scored 16 points and Brett Olson added 15 as Denver cruised to a 66-45 victory over IUPIU on Saturday.

Denver went on a 21-0 first-half run, highlighted by three consecutive 3-pointers by Marcus Byrd and Olson, after holding IUPUI scoreless for over eight minutes.

Olson had 11 points by halftime, making 3 of 4 shots from long range for Denver (8-10, 1-2 Summit League). He got his 200th career assist on an Udofia dunk late in the second half.

Nate Engesser made all three of his long range attempts and the Pioneers made nine 3-pointers overall. Udofia grabbed eight rebounds, blocked three shots, and had six first-half assists.

IUPUI (5-16, 0-4) got 19 points from Mitch Patton and Marcellus Barksdale grabbed 11 rebounds. The Jaguars made just 36.4 percent of its shots.
