South Dakota State 74, Denver 73
DENVER (AP) - Jordan Dykstra scored 18 points, including eight points in the final 17 seconds, as South Dakota State edged Denver 74-73 on Thursday.

South Dakota State (11-10, 3-3 Summit League) used a late rally to win, as Dykstra hit a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left to bring the Jackrabbits within 71-69. After a Cody Larson steal, Dykstra hit another 3 with 14 seconds remaining to give the Jackrabbits a 72-71 lead.

Following a Denver turnover, Dykstra made two free throws with 3 seconds left to open a 74-71 advantage.Bryant Rucker's basket for Denver (10-11, 3-3) was good with a second remaining, but the basket counted for two points because Rucker attempted the shot with his foot on the 3-point line.

Larson had 17 points and nine boards for the Jackrabbits. Chad White added 13 points.

Chris Udofia led Denver with 20 points. Brett Olson added 16.

North Dakota State 66, South Dakota 63
VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - Taylor Braun's three-point play with 33 seconds left and TrayVonn Wright's two free throws with 8 seconds left lifted North Dakota State over South Dakota 66-63 on Thursday night.

Wright had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead NDSU (16-5, 5-1 Summit) and Braun added 11 points.

Lawrence Alexander was 3 of 3 from 3-point range and finished with 12 points for the Bison who shot 6 of 13 as a team from long distance. NDSU trailed 61-56 before going on a 10-2 run to close out the game.

South Dakota (8-12, 3-3) had been trailing for 25 minutes when Trey Norris' layup pulled the Coyotes even at 52. They took their first lead since the early minutes at 57-56 on Brandon Bos' jumper with 5:28 left which sparked a 6-0 run.

Trevor Gruis led the Coyotes with 16 points. Brandon Bos added 14 points and Adam Thoseby scored 11.

Fort Wayne 86, Omaha 82
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Joe Reed scored 20 points as Fort Wayne topped Omaha 86-82 on Thursday.

Fort Wayne (17-6, 5-1 Summit) shot 52 percent, including 9 of 22 on 3-point attempts. Mo Evans had 15 points, Joe Edwards added 13 and Steve Forbes scored 11.

Justin Simmons led Omaha (12-9, 2-4) with 28 points, including four 3-pointers. John Karhoff added 19 while Devin Patterson had 12. Mike Rostampour pulled down 12 rebounds for the Mavericks.

After a Karhoff jumper with 4:43 left in the first, Omaha held a 15-point lead at 42-27. Fort Wayne closed the half on an 11-2 run, including 3s by Edwards and Michael Kibiloski, to trim the margin to six, 44-38, at the break.

The game was tied at 78 with 1:44 left, but Simmons fouled Pierre Bland, who made both free throws. Evans then hit a trey and made three free throws to seal the win.

Western Illinois 69, IUPUI 54
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Garret Covington had 17 points and 9 rebounds as Western Illinois pulled away in the second half for a 69-54 win over IUPUI on Thursday.

Covington hit 5 of 7 shots and all six of his free throws to lead the Leathernecks (9-12, 3-3 Summit League). Michael Ochereobia added 13 points and Mike Miklusak 10.

Ja'Rob Mcallum led the Jaguars (5-18, 0-6) with 18 points and Khufu Najee had 14, hitting 7 of 9 shots. IUPUI has lost six straight.

Western Illinois hit 13 of 15 free throws, 8 of 9 in the second half, while the Jags went just 2 of 8 from the line. Western also had a 35-23 rebounding advantage.The Leathernecks led 23-21 at the half.

Najee's fast-break layup with 10:45 to play cut WIU's lead to 46-40 but Adam Link made a layup and Miklusak made back-to-back 3's and IUPUI never recovered.
