OMAHA, Neb. (omavs.com) – Omaha played its final non-conference game of the year on Wednesday, defeating Peru State, 86-62, at Ralston Arena. With the win, the Mavericks improve to 14-9 (3-4 Summit League), while the Bobcats remain 9-12.

Mike Rostampour had a career day, posting career highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Mavericks. He finished a perfect 10-for-10 from the field and added two assists, a steal and a block.

CJ Carter joined Rostampour in double figures with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal, and Justin Simmons added 10 points with three steals and an assist.

As a team, Omaha shot 51 percent (34-of-67) from the field, while Peru State came in at 52 percent (26-of-50). The Mavericks finished with a season-high 18 steals and forced 28 Bobcat turnovers, from which they scored 39 of their 86 total points.

Peru State was led by 12 points apiece from Kody Kirkpatrick and Taylor Christensen.
