SDSU's Dykstra Named Senior CLASS All-American

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – South Dakota State's Jordan Dykstra was named as a second team Senior CLASS Award® All-American, garnering the highest Summit League honor in the award's history. Dykstra is one of 10 All-Americans named to the team.
The All-American teams were chosen by a nationwide vote of Division I men's basketball coaches, national basketball media and fans, and are given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athletes in Division I men's basketball. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – classroom, community, character and competition.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.

Dykstra, a biology/pre-dentistry major with a 3.71 GPA, led The Summit League with 7.6 rebounds per game and ranked second with 16.0 points per game this season. The forward was a first team All-Summit League performer and a three-time league Player of the Week selection in 2013-14. In February, he was named as a Capital One Academic All-American, earning second team honors.
