Evans added 17 points for the Bulls.
Jake Bittle had 16 points for South Dakota State. Cody Larson added 15 points and 15 rebounds and Zach Horstman 13 and 12. Both rebounding totals were a career best.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Khristian Smith scored 27 points and Indiana State took over in overtime after a close second half to beat IUPUI 79-66 on Friday night.
The second half never saw more than a four-point difference, but the Sycamores scored 11-straight points in overtime while IUPUI missed seven-straight shots. Marcellus Barksdale made a lay-in with 51 seconds left, and it was the only made shot for the Jaguars after regulation.
Devonte Brown went 1-of-2 at the free-throw line with 7 seconds left in the second half. A foul sent Barksdale to the line, where he sank both shots to tie up the game as time ran out.
Barksdale led the Jaguars with 12 points, Mason Archie II added 11, and DavRon Williams finished with 11 rebounds. IUPUI committed 30 personal fouls, which led to 36 points for the Sycamores.

Pacific 73, Western Illinois 71 (OT)
MACOMB, Ill. (AP) - David Taylor and T.J. Wallace scored 13 points apiece but it was an assist by Taylor that lifted University of the Pacific past Western Illinois 73-71 in overtime on Friday night, the season opener for both teams.

Aguirre finished with 10 points and eight rebounds, Wallace led the Tigers with 10 boards and four assists. The team hit 42 percent from the field and 71 percent from the line.

No. 10 Texas 85, North Dakota State 50
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Myles Turner scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds as No. 10 Texas rolled to a 85-50 season-opening win over North Dakota State on Friday night.
Turner scored 11 in the first half as Texas jumped out to a 20-point lead by halftime.
Isaiah Taylor scored 18 points and Jonathan Holmes added 15 points for the Longhorns.
Turner later started a fast break with a block and Taylor finished it with a behind-the-back pass to Cam Ridley for a dunk that made it 28-7. The only blemish on Turner's debut was a team-high three turnovers.
Lawrence Alexander scored 16 for North Dakota State (0-1).
The Bison don't have a player taller than 6-9 and struggled to match up with Holmes on the perimeter or Turner and Ridley inside. Ridley dunked a put-back for the game's first points and the Longhorns' size controlled everything the Bison tried to do, inside or out.
"We're not going to see any teams that long or big in the Summit League," Alexander said. "With their length, size and depth coming off the bench, you can talk about it all day long, (but) playing against it as a whole other story."
