North Dakota State 72, Montana State 51

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Lawrence Alexander scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and hauled in eight rebounds to propel North Dakota State to a 72-51 win over Montana State on Sunday night.

Leading 37-27 at the break, North Dakota State (4-2) broke away midway through the second half with a 14-0 run bookended by Carlin Dupree buckets to make it 72-46 with 4:25 to play and protected the lead down the stretch.

A.J. Jacobson contributed 15 points, Chris Kading added 13, Kory Brown had 11 and Dupree finished with 10 plus seven rebounds for the Bison, who shot 50 percent from the floor and hit 11 of 23 from 3-point range.

Montana State (1-5) kept the score close through most of the first half, closing to 29-26 on an Eric Norman layup with 3:43 to go before intermission, but couldn't capture the lead.

Michael Dison led the Bobcats with 17 points.

Denver 79, New Orleans 60

DENVER (AP) — Brett Olson scored 15 points and dished out a career-high eight assists to lead Denver to a 79-60 win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Denver (3-2) never trailed in the game and took control midway through the first period with an 11-4 spurt that included a pair of 3-pointers from Nate Engesser and was capped by a 3 from Olson to make it 25-17 with 8:32 to go before the break. The Pioneers took a 42-31 advantage at halftime and continued to pull away in the second, shooting 54.7 percent and hitting 9 of 24 from long range.

Cam Griffin contributed 14 points, Engesser finished with 12 and Jalen Love had 11 in the win.

Both teams shot comparably from the floor but New Orleans (1-3) hit just 2 of 8 from 3-point range.

Colton Weisbrod led the Privateers with 17 points and five rebounds.

South Dakota 68, CSU Bakersfield 66

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) - Brandon Bos scored 21 points and South Dakota used a late run to top CS Bakersfield 68-66 on Sunday.

Bos went 8 of 10 from the line and Casey Kasperbauer added 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Tyler Larson had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Coyotes.

Bakersfield (1-5) trailed by three with 8:12 left in the first half but went on a 14-0 run -- including a pair of 3s by Dashawn Richmond -- and led 40-29 at the break.

South Dakota (2-5) kept chipping away at the lead though and a 9-0 run, capped by Kasperbauer's 3-pointer, gave the Coyotes a 65-61 lead with 1:23 left.

Richmond and Kevin Mays had 14 points apiece for the Roadrunners. Mays added 10 boards. Bakersfield was just 3 of 18 from beyond the arc.

Florida Gulf Coast 71, South Dakota State 58

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Brett Comer scored 14 points, Julian DeBose added 12, and Florida Gulf Coast pulled away from South Dakota State 71-58 on Sunday.

Bernard Thompson scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and Marc-Eddy Norelia grabbed 10 rebounds for the Eagles (6-1).

Deondre Parks led South Dakota State (2-3) with 18 points and Cody Larson scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The lead flip-flopped seven times until South Dakota State pulled ahead 24-19 after a 3-pointer by Parks. The Eagles rallied and the lead traded hands three more times until FGCU's Nate Hicks tied it at 31 at halftime with a free throw. Parks scored 10 points in the half.

FGCU used a 12-2 run to pull ahead 43-33 in the second half. A 3 by Comer sparked a 9-2 run and the Eagles pulled away 52-37, outscoring the Jackrabbits 40-27 in the half.
