Montana 69, North Dakota State 57

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Jordan Gregory and Martin Breunig combined to score 38 points and Montana built a big first-half lead to hold off North Dakota State, 69-57 on Sunday night.

The Grizzlies were playing just their second home game of the season. Montana (3-4) played five of its first six games on the road.

Montana pulled away steadily in the first half, taking a 35-21 lead at intermission.

Gregory got his first points of the game on a 3-pointer with 2:19 left — his only points in the first half. He scored 17 in the second half and finished the game shooting 8 of 12 from the field and 4 of 7 from distance. Breunig finished with 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. Brandon Gfeller added 10 points off the bench.

Lawrence Alexander led the Bison (4-4) with 29 points, hitting 11 of 20.

Cleveland State 76, Western Illinois 54

CLEVELAND (AP) — Trey Lewis was 4 of 4 from 3-point range and Cleveland State was 9 of 16 in a 76-54 victory over Western Illinois on Sunday.

Lewis finished with 21 points for the Vikings (4-4), who scored 13-straight midway through the first, led 44-21 at halftime and extended to their largest lead at 74-45 with 4:15 left.

Anton Grady had 14 points and Andre Yates added 11 with a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, including three 3-pointers. Yates also had four steals to key a defensive effort that caused 15 Western Illinois turnovers in the first half and 21 overall.

Garret Covington had 17 points and Jabari Sandifer scored 12 for WIU (2-5). The Leathernecks (46.7 percent) had comparable shooting with Cleveland State (48.1), but their struggles to possess the ball led to seven less field goal attempts and 13 less free-throw attempts.

Missouri State at Oral Roberts, ccld.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A power outage in south Tulsa, Oklahoma, that includes entire Oral Roberts University campus prompted the cancellation of the Missouri State-Oral Roberts matchup on Sunday.

No makeup date has been announced, but according to a release on the Oral Roberts athletics home page, the teams are in discussions to reschedule the non-conference game.

Oral Roberts is already scheduled to play at Missouri State on Dec. 22.

Missouri State (4-3) and Oral Roberts (2-4) have faced off nine times, with the Bears holding a 5-4 edge. The teams have played every season since 2010.
