ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Casey Kasperbauer was named The Summit League's Player of the Week following his performance Dec. 22-28.

Kasperbauer earned his first career Player of the Week honor after a 23-point performance in leading South Dakota to a rout of defending Horizon League champion Milwaukee. In the victory, Kasperbauer tied the league's season-high and his own season-best mark with seven three-pointers, including a perfect six-for-six in the second half. He also went two-for-two at the free throw line and added three rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot as the Coyotes extended their win streak to three.

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features men's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
