South Dakota State 76, Oral Roberts 72

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Cody Larson scored a career-high 27 points and had 12 rebounds to lead South Dakota State to a 76-72 victory over Oral Roberts on Saturday night.

Korey Billbury hit back-to-back 3s to pull Oral Roberts within 73-72 with 13 seconds left. South Dakota State's George Marshall answered with a pair of free throws. Billbury missed a contested 3-pointer but Zach Horstman made a free throw to seal it for the Jackrabbits.

Larson shot 9 of 16 from the floor and made 9 of 12 free throws. Deondre Parks scored 18 points and Jake Bittle chipped in 13 for South Dakota State (15-7, 6-2 Summit League), which has won six straight.

Obi Emegano scored 19 points, Billbury finished with 15 and Brandon Conley grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Oral Roberts (10-10, 4-3). The Golden Eagles shot just 10 of 21 from the line.

Fort Wayne 77, North Dakota State 71

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Max Landis scored 7 of his 16 in the final 2:46 and led six IPFW players in double figures to help the Mastodons beat Summit League-leading North Dakota State 77-71 on Saturday.

Isaiah McCray scored 14 and Mo Evans had 13 for IPFW (9-11, 2-5), which only had six players score.

A 3-pointer by A.J. Jacobsen pulled North Dakota State (13-7, 5-2), which trailed by as many as 16 in the second half, within three with four minutes left.

Landis made 4 of 4 free throws during a 10-4 spurt which pushed IPFW's lead to 73-64 with 58 seconds to go, but Paul Miller hit a 3 and Kory Brown made a layup and a jumper, while IPFW went 2 of 4 from the line, to make it 75-71 with 22 seconds remaining, but the Bison would get no closer.

Jacobsen hit 4 of 6 3-pointers and led North Dakota State with 17 points.

Omaha 80, Denver 69

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — C.J. Carter scored 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting and added four assists to lead Nebraska-Omaha to an 80-69 victory over Denver on Saturday.

Devin Patterson finished with 13 points and five assists and Marcus Tyus added 12 points and six rebounds for the Mavericks (8-11, 2-5 Summit League). Overall, Carter, Patterson, and Tyus form the conference's highest-scoring trio at 42.7 points per game.

Nebraska-Omaha trailed for 44 seconds the entire game, and opened the second half on a 14-4 run capped off by a Tyus 3-pointer to take a double-digit lead.

For the game, the Mavericks shot 56.1 percent and got to the free-throw line 38 times, making 29.

Brett Olson scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting to lead Denver (9-11, 3-4), tying Nate Rohnert for 11th on the all-time scoring list.

IUPUI 65, South Dakota 50

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — DavRon Williams and Mason Archie II combined to score 21 points off the bench as IUPUI, picked to finish last in Summit League, defeated South Dakota 65-50 to remain in the thick of things Saturday.

Williams was perfect from the field (4 of 4) and from the line, sinking 3 of 3 foul shots with seven rebounds and two assists to lead the Jaguars (8-13, 4-3 Summit). Archie hit 4 of 5 field goals, including a pair of 3-pointers with two assists and two steals for IUPUI, which shot nearly 59 percent from the floor (27-46).

Archie hit a 3-pointer early, staking the Jaguars to a 12-2 lead, and scored on a layup to make it 20-5 midway through the first half. Williams scored four straight points including a dunk, pushing the lead to 61-41.

Tyler Larson scored 10 to lead the Coyotes (10-11, 4-3), who shot 35 percent.
