Fort Wayne’s Forbes Named #SummitMBB Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Fort Wayne's Steve Forbes was named The Summit League's Player of the Week following his performance Jan. 26-Feb. 1.

Forbes received his second Player of the Week award of the season and his career after leading his team to a pair of key road victories. At South Dakota, Forbes scored 21 points in 23 minutes on 8-of-10 shooting. Two days later at Omaha, he recorded a double-double with a 15-point, 10-rebound performance. Forbes averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds for the week while vaulting the Mastodons two positions in the league standings.

ABOUT SUMMIT LEAGUE MEN'S BASKETBALL
In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League features men's basketball teams from nine member institutions: Denver, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
