Western Illinois Enters Tournament as Top Seed

ELMHURST, Ill. - Western Illinois will be the top seed at the Summit League Men's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2006 after claiming the regular season crown. Joining the Fighting Leathernecks in the tournament field are IPFW, making its first Summit League Tournament appearance, Oral Roberts and defending champion Oakland.
The 2011 Summit League Men's Soccer Championship will be played Friday/Sunday, Nov. 11/13 at the Stanley H. Durwood Soccer Stadium and Recreational Field on the UMKC campus in Kansas City.
With the No. 1 seed, Western Illinois (11-5-1, 4-2-0 Summit) will face No. 4 Oakland (6-11-1, 3-3-0 Summit) in the first game Friday at 5 p.m. CT. The second match will pit the No. 2 seed IPFW (8-9-2, 3-2-1 Summit) against No. 3 Oral Roberts (6-9-1, 3-2-1 Summit) at 7:35 p.m. CT.
Both semifinal matches will be televised by Fox College Sports. The first semifinal will air live on the FCS Atlantic channel while the nitecap will be joining in progress at 8 p.m. CT on the FCS Central channel and will run in its entireity on tape-delay on Nov. 12 at noon ET on FCS Atlantic.
The winners of Friday's matches will play in Sunday's championship match at 1 p.m. CT with the victor earning an automatic bid to the NCAA College Cup.
