Sunday's Summit League men's soccer schedule was highlighted by shutouts over a nationally-ranked team and a Big Ten foe.
No. 15 Denver scored just 1:38 into the match to secure a 1-0 win at No. 25 Rutgers, while Oral Roberts defeated Michigan State by a 2-0 score in Dallas.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (denverpioneers.com) -- Junior Alex Underwood's second-minute strike proved the difference as the University of Denver men's soccer team limited Rutgers to just three shots on goal in a 1-0 win on Sunday afternoon at Yurcak Field.
Redshirt-sophomore Nick Gardner picked up his third career shutout in his fourth career win.
Redshirt-senior Chandler Crosswait created the Pioneers' early goal, crossing a Reagan Dunk pass into the area to Underwood. The junior's fourth career goal came off the inside of the post after he took a touch, set his feet and picked out the opening.

DALLAS (oruathletics.com) -- A defensive battle ended with great reward for the Golden Eagles. ORU defeated Michigan State 2-0.
Alex Harris scored his first goal of the season at the 54 minute mark. Santiago Riveros was credited with the assist.
Corey Cantor added to the lead by scoring his first goal of the season at the 62 minute mark. He beat the defender and scored a left-footed bend shot passed the goalie.
In the other Sunday contests, Eastern Illinois fell by a 2-1 score to Milwaukee in a match that was played in Champaign, Ill., while Western Illinois lost at Lipscomb, 3-0. Omaha dropped a 2-0 contest at  Connecticut after holding the Huskies scoreless in the first half.
