SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The regular season is nearing its end with just three matches to play on Saturday. Between the three conference matches we will fill out the bracket and crown a regular season champion. Denver, Omaha and Purdue Fort Wayne have all punched their tickets to The Summit League Championship with Eastern Illinois and Oral Roberts fighting for the final spot.

 

Around The League

• Denver and Omaha are separated by just one point in the league standings. Here are the scenarios for each team to win the regular season and be the No. 1 seed:

• The Pioneers will win the Summit League regular season title with a win

• Denver will win the title with a draw and an Omaha loss

• Omaha will win the Summit League regular season title with a win and a Denver loss

• The Mavericks will win the title with a win and a Denver draw

• Purdue Fort Wayne has earned a berth to The Summit League Championship with six points. The Mastodons are riding a four-match win streak

• The Summit League has a league RPI of 16 of 23 conferences

• Denver has the highest RPI at 17 followed by Purdue Fort Wayne (74), Omaha (78), Oral Roberts (166), Eastern Illinois (170) and Western Illinois (175)

• Denver senior forward Andre Shinyashiki continues to have a remarkable season leading the country in goals scored (24), total points (51), goals per game (1.41), points per game (3.00), shots on goal per game (3.18) and game-winning goals (9)

• Oral Roberts goalkeeper Miles Motakef is ranked fifth nationally in saves per game (5.50)

• Purdue Fort Wayne goalkeeper Tor Erik Larsen is ranked second nationally in total saves with 87
