INDIANAPOLIS  The University of Denver men's soccer team received a national seed for the third time in the last four years, as the 15-seeded Pioneers will bypass the first round to host the winner of Air Force and Central Arkansas in the NCAA Second Round on Sunday at 3 p.m. MT. The full field of 48 was released Monday morning during the 2018 NCAA Men's Soccer Selection Show.

Denver is 15-3-2 following its fifth Summit League Tournament title on Saturday evening at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.

The Crimson and Gold are 4-6-1 all-time in NCAA Tournament play entering their eighth appearance in the competition later this week. Denver earned its first Division I NCAA Tournament win in 2016 since returning to the NCAAs top division in 1998, making a run all the way to the program's first College Cup. The sixth-seeded Pioneers that season earned home wins over UNLV and No. 11 Washington before going on the road to win late in regulation at No. 3 Clemson.

DU also made tournament appearances in 1970 (Quarterfinals), 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015 (Second Round). The Pioneers were the 13 seed in 2015 before earning the six seed in 2016.
