DU’s Rocha Makes History With #SummitMTN Player of the Week Honor

ELMHURST, Ill. –Denver's Diogo Rocha was named Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance April 11-17.

  • Set a new Summit League record with his 10th career Player of the Week award
  • Earned his second honor of the season in consecutive weeks
  • Defeated IUPUI's Jan Newis in straight-sets (0 and 3) at No. 1 singles and teamed for a 6-2 victory over IUPUI's tandem of Newis/Whittaker at No 1 doubles in Denver's 7-0 win
  • Equaled The Summit League's all-time record for career singles victories with his 18th while improving extending career record to a league-best 18-0
  • Improved his season singles record to 12-4 and doubles mark to 8-6
