#SummitWBB 2014-15 League Schedule Announced
ELMHURST, Ill. – The Summit League has announced its 2014-15 women's basketball schedule today. Each of the nine teams will play a 16-game double round-robin schedule beginning Jan. 2.
League contests are scheduled for nine weeks with regular season games concluding on Saturday, Feb. 28.
South Dakota, the defending tournament champion, begins its quest for back-to-back titles at Omaha on Jan. 2. Also on opening weekend, five-time regular season and tournament champion South Dakota State hosts Denver, the 2014 tournament runner-up. League newcomer Oral Roberts travels to Fargo to face North Dakota State in its first league game since the 2011-12 season.
The first rematch of the 2014 Summit League Basketball Championship Game between South Dakota and Denver takes place Jan. 28 in Vermillion. The Coyotes and Pioneers will meet again on Feb. 18 in Denver.
Regular season champion South Dakota State travels to regular season runner-up IUPUI on Jan. 11 and hosts the Jaguars in the regular season finale Feb. 28.
In addition to the IUPUI-SDSU game in Brookings, the other pairings for the final day of the regular season are: Omaha at Denver, Fort Wayne at Oral Roberts and Western Illinois at South Dakota.
The 2015 Summit League Women's Basketball Championship is set for March 7-10 at the new Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
