CHICAGO -- (gojacks.com) Senior Megan Waytashek scored her 1,000th career point and had a game-high 26 points, but it wasn't enough as the South Dakota State women's basketball team lost 84-62 Saturday to No. 18/20 DePaul in front of 1,722 fans at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
Waytashek was 10 of 15 from the field, including 5 of 8 from three-point range, and 1 of 2 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds and blocked two shots. Waytashek's 1,000th career point came in the first half when she took a pass from sophomore Chynna Stevens in the left corner and sank her third three-pointer of the night with 2:06 to go in the half.
Senior Mariah Clarin was the only other Jackrabbit in double digits with 10 points.
