(goleathernecks.com) -- Ashley Luke dropped a game-high 24 points and Western Illinois never trailed Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 3) as the Leathernecks knocked off Southeast Missouri, 79-62, in a nonconference tilt. The outcome moves the Leathernecks to 4-3 overall with the victory while dropping the Redhawks to 2-5 on the season.
Luke's 24 points, along with six rebounds, led the way for the Purple and Gold, while Farrow (11 points) and Maher (10 points) each scored in double-figures. Reichelt pulled in a team-high seven rebounds, while Emily Clemens dished out five assists. Western outshot SEMO 48.4% (30-62) to 34.3% (23-67) from the field. Western limited the Redhawks to just two made three-pointers (2-14), while the Leathernecks had its best day at the line this season, knocking down 12-of-14 free throws.

Sophomore Alecia Espinoza piled up a career-high 12 points. She also pulled in nine rebounds. Senior Morgan Van Riper-Rose netted 14 points, including three 3-pointers in 36 minutes, with 11 points coming in the first half.
