OGDEN, Utah (denverpioneers.com) -- The University of Denver women's basketball team couldn't come up with a basket on their final possession and lost a heartbreaker at Weber State on Monday afternoon. Weber State (5-5) outlasted Denver (2-8) 65-63.

Down 65-63, Denver had a chance to tie or take the lead in the final 7.4 seconds. Morgan Van Riper-Rose put up a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer that fell short.

South Dakota State 65, Middle Tennessee 61 | Recap
BROOKINGS, S.D. (gojacks.com) -- Megan Waytashek scored a game-high 24 points to lift the South Dakota State University women's basketball team to a 65-61 win over Middle Tennessee State Monday night before 1,026 fans at Frost Arena.

Waytashek, a senior guard from Lino Lakes, Minn., made 14 of 16 foul shots as the Jackrabbits (7-3) rallied from a 10-point deficit midway in the second half.

SDSU trailed 48-38 before using a 13-2 run to take a 51-50 lead when sophomore forward Clarissa Ober banked in a three-point field goal with 6:20 remaining. The teams traded the lead until freshman guard Macy Miller sank a three-pointer from the corner for a 58-57 lead with 2:40 left.
