FORT WAYNE, Ind. (gomastodons.com) -- Behind a career-high 26 points from Rachel Rinehart, the IPFW women's basketball team overcame an eight-point second half deficit to defeat Milwaukee 78-72. The Mastodons improve their record to 5-7 on the season.
Rinehart's career night came on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor and connecting on a perfect 8-for8 at the free throw line. Haley Seibert went for 14 points and tied a career-high with seven assists.
Keanna Gary and Kamilah Carter came off the bench to finish in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Gary also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds. Mur Hagerman had a solid night for the 'Dons with a season-high eight points, to go along with four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

DENTON, Texas (denverpioneers.com) -- The University of Denver women's basketball team used a strong second half to rally from a halftime deficit to beat North Texas on Sunday afternoon in Denton, Texas. Denver (3-11) recorded its first road win of the season by defeating North Texas (1-9) 63-55 at the Super Pit.
Tamara Lee provided a huge spark off the bench for the Pioneers, particularly in the second half, as she poured in a career-high 16 points, including 12 points after halftime. Lee nailed back-to-back 3-pointers over a 21 second span, the first 3-pointer tied the game and the second from downtown gave the Pioneers the lead for good with 15:09 remaining in the second half.

MACOMB, Ill. (goleathernecks.com) -- Five players scored in double-figures Sunday afternoon (Dec. 21) as Western Illinois cruised to a 91-50 women's basketball victory over Eureka inside Western Hall. The Leathernecks improve to 7-5 on the season while the Red Devils drop to 4-5 with the loss.

SAN ANTONIO (goyotes.com) -- Nicole Seekamp and Margaret McCloud both tallied 16 points as the South Dakota women's basketball team recorded its eighth straight win with a 76-69 victory over Texas-San Antonio in the Convocation Center on Sunday afternoon. The game was part of the UTSA Holiday Classic.
McCloud shot 7-of-10 from the floor and grabbed six rebounds while Seekamp added six assists and five rebounds. Five USD (10-2) players reached double-digit point totals as Tia Hemiller tallied 15 points, Raeshel Contreras scored 11 points and Lisa Loeffler added 10 points. Loeffler led the team in rebounds with seven.
