Notes:
-- Omaha's Lanese Bough sank a pair of free throws with 11 seconds remaining to secure the three-point win over Western Illinois.
-- North Dakota State's Liz Keena was named the Katherine Burgmun Classic MVP after setting career-highs of 22 points and five steals in the loss to South Dakota. Nicole Seekamp was named the MVP from the Coyotes.
-- Western Illinois' Ashley Luke extended her double figure scoring streak to 61 games in the loss at Omaha.
-- South Dakota State's Clarissa Ober scored a career-best 21 points in the win over Fort Wayne.
-- The 17 steals by Fort Wayne were the most since 2010.

FARGO, N.D. (goyotes.com) -- The South Dakota women's basketball team led by 16 points at halftime, but had to hold off a second half charge by North Dakota State to tally an 83-79 win over the Bison at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon.

Nicole Seekamp led South Dakota (19-5, 9-2) with 21 points, 15 of those coming in the second half, and tallied five assists. Raeshel Contreras added 20 points, Kelly Stewart tallied 10 points and Margaret McCloud finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

South Dakota never trailed in the game, led by as many as 23 points in the first half and led 45-29 at halftime, but a rally by NDSU (9-14, 5-6) cut the lead down to two points twice within the final three minutes of the game. The Bison shot 56 percent, got 20 points from Brooke LeMar and forced USD into 11 turnovers in the second half.

OMAHA, Neb. (omavs.com) -- Behind Mikaela Shaw's 25 points and nine rebounds, the Omaha women's basketball team upset Western Illinois, 54-51, on Sunday afternoon at the Sapp Fieldhouse.

The Mavericks improved to 7-16 overall and 2-9 in Summit League action.  Western Illinois dropped to 15-9 overall and 7-4 in league play.  The Leathernecks came in having won four in a row and were in second place in the league standings.

Shaw had a game-high 25 points on 10-for-25 shootings, including two 3-pointers.  The sophomore guard grabbed a team-high nine rebounds to go along with two assists and two steals.

BROOKINGS, S.D. (gojacks.com) -- Sophomore forward Clarissa Ober scored a career-high 21 points to lead the South Dakota State University women's basketball team to an 89-68 win over IPFW Sunday afternoon in The Summit League action in front of 2,268 fans at Frost Arena.

The victory is the Jackrabbits' fourth straight and seventh consecutive in Frost Arena as they improve to 16-7 overall and 7-3 in Summit League play. IPFW falls to 8-16 and 2-9.
