FARGO, N.D. (gobison.com) -- Five Bison scored in double figures to help the North Dakota State women's basketball team (11-17, 7-9 Summit League) post an 87-68 victory over the Denver Pioneers (8-21, 5-10 Summit League) before 648 spectators on Senior Night Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
NDSU senior Brooke LeMar led all scorers in her final game played under the lights of the BBF, tallying 20 points on 6-for-17 shooting, marking the 14th time the Canyon Country, Calif., native has scored at least 20 points in a game this season. Freshman Taylor Thunstedt added a career-high 19 points on 5-for-7 shooting from three-point range, and junior Holly Johnson tallied 18 points. Fellow junior Marena Whittle chipped in 10, while senior Liz Keena rounded out the Bison in double figures, scoring 10 points and snagging a game-high nine rebounds.

BROOKINGS, S.D. (gojacks.com) -- The South Dakota State University women's basketball team used scoring runs of 8-0 and 9-0 to pull away from Western Illinois University Thursday night and record a 69-49 victory in front of 1,652 fans at Frost Arena in The Summit League action.
The Jackrabbits improved to 20-8 overall and 11-4 in league play. The 20th win marks South Dakota State's fourth consecutive season and eighth in the past nine seasons with 20-or-more victories. Western Illinois falls to 17-11, 9-6.
South Dakota State was led by sophomore guard Kerri Young and senior forward Mariah Clarin. Each player scored 16 points. Young had 11 first-half points while Clarin recorded 10 second-half points. Freshman guard Macy Miller added 13 points. Miller and classmate Ellie Thompson each grabbed seven rebounds.

VERMILLION, S.D. (goyotes.com) -- Nicole Seekamp recorded 13 points, five assists and four steals as the South Dakota women's basketball team clinched its first Summit League regular season title with a 69-53 win over the IUPUI Jaguars on Thursday night in the DakotaDome.
The Coyotes (22-6, 12-3) clinched their first conference regular season title since the 2007-08 season when they won the North Central Conference title with a 12-0 record. The Coyotes, who moved to 13-0 at home this season, can clinch the top seed in the Summit League Tournament with a win against Western Illinois or a loss by SDSU to IUPUI (14-14, 9-6) on Saturday.

OMAHA, Neb. (omavs.com) -- The Omaha women's basketball team raced out to a 19-point lead in the first half and held off a furious second half comeback attempt by Fort Wayne to claim a 70-61 victory on Thursday night at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
The Mavericks improved to 9-19 overall and 4-11 in the Summit League, while the Mastodons fell to 9-19 overall and 3-12 in Summit League play.
Madi Robson had a team-high 15 points, all coming in the second half. Robson was 2-of-2 from the field and 11-of -14 at the free throw line. She also dished out five assists and grabbed three rebounds.
