South Dakota’s Frederick earns Summit League Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of South Dakota junior forward Taylor Frederick has been named The Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a stellar opening weekend for the Yotes, as announced by league officials.

Frederick helped lead South Dakota to a road victory over Creighton University with a career-high 26 points. Frederick and the Yotes were one of just two Summit League squads to post a 2-0 record in the first week of the season with their home win over Incarnate Word.

Jr. | Forward | Earling, Iowa

• Helped lead USD to a 77-65 upset at Creighton and go 2-0 in the opening weekend

• Posted a career-high 26 points in the win at Creighton

• Averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and an assist per game

• She shot 81 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the 3-point line in the Yotes two games

• This is Frederick's first career player of the week honor
