SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – With Thanksgiving approaching, many Summit League women's basketball programs will compete in some early season tournaments scattered across the country to showcase the strength of the league.

The Opening Tip

South Dakota State senior Macy Miller was named to the Wade Trophy watch list. Miller is the first Summit League women's basketball athlete to be named to the watch list. The Wade Trophy is the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year award in college women's basketball. It is named in honor of the late, legendary Delta State University head coach Lily Margaret Wade

Things to Watch

• Miller moves into 10th on the all-time scoring list with 1,795 points. Miller is now 12 points away from moving into ninth all-time passing Chazny Morris of UMKC (2006-10)

• North Dakota will continue its seven-game road trip this week with a trip to Penn State

• Omaha will compete in the Florida International tournament in Miami while SDSU will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the South Point Shootout

Summit League Notes

• Denver improved to 3-1 on the year with their win against American on Tuesday

• Denver averages 83.3 points per game thanks to the up-tempo style of play employed by head coach Jim

Turgeon. sophomore guard Claire Gritt and freshman Sydney Mech have been crucial to increasing the pace of play

• Senior Lexi Klabo earned his 21st career double-double against Illinois State

• North Dakota is in the midst of a seven consecutive road games to start the season

• Klabo leads the Fighting Hawks in scoring at 15.7 ppg and rebounding at 8.7 per game

• Oral Roberts is 1-3 on the year with losses at Kansas, Iowa and Tulsa

• The Golden Eagles loss to Tulsa was their first to the Golden Hurricanes in five seasons

• The Golden Eagles are averaging 69.3 points per game

• Oral Roberts is led by Lakota Beatty who is averaging 18.3 points per game

• Purdue Fort Wayne 2-3 on the year

• The Mastodons are led by De'Jour Young who is averaging 13.4 points per game

• Young also leads the team in rebounding at 6.6 rebounds per game

• Purdue Fort Wayne is 2-0 when playing at home this season

• The Mastodons are only allowing 68 points per game

• South Dakota enters the week with a 3-1 record. Their lone loss was on the road against No. 19 Marquette

• USD is on a three-game winning streak

• In their win against Saint Mary, six Coyotes reached double-figures

• South Dakota will take on Wichita State on Wednesday in Sioux Falls, S.D. at the Sanford Pentagon

• USD is averaging 87.3 ppg while allowing just 59

• Four Coyotes are averaging double-digit points with the leader of the group being Taylor Frederick at 15.5 ppg

• South Dakota State enters the week with a 3-1 record

• The Jackrabbits are receiving votes in the AP Top 25 Poll

• Last week SDSU earned two huge wins against Central Michigan and Creighton
