ORU’s Lippe earns weekly award after record-breaking weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts guard Keni Jo Lippe notched her first Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolade of the season, league officials announced Monday. Lippe averaged a double-double on the week with 31.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg while also setting a new league single-game scoring record.

In Oral Roberts' 86-72 win at North Dakota, Lippe recorded her then fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds. She also added four assists and went 7-for-9 from the free throw line against the Fighting Hawks. 

The Adair, Okla., native finished the week leading the Golden Eagles to an 80-76 overtime win at North Dakota State. Against the Bison, she notched a Summit League record for most points scored in a game finishing with a career-high 46 points. Additionally, it is the most points scored by a Division I women's basketball player this season. Lippe finished with her fifth double-double of the season adding 11 boards to her 46 points along with tallying four steals.
