Kinnarath, McNeary Collect Weekly Women's Soccer Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State's Anisha Kinnarath was named The Summit League's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while South Dakota State's Katie McNeary was named the Defensive Player of the Week for their performances Sept. 30 - Oct. 6.

Kinnarath collects her third career Offensive Player of the Week award and first this season after leading North Dakota State to a league split last week. The junior scored both of her goals in the 2-0 win at IUPUI Friday. Her first goal came in the 34th minute when she corralled a rebounded shot off the goalpost and netted it from 15 yards out for the eventual game-winner. She completed the brace in the 61st minute with an insurance goal on a header to the back of the net. In the loss at Western Illinois, Kinnarath led the Bison with four shots. For the week, she had two goals on 11 shots with a .455 shot on goal percentage.

McNeary earns her first career Defensive Player of the Week award after anchoring the backline that produced a pair of 1-0 shutouts to begin league play. In South Dakota State's win at IUPUI, she led a defense that limited the Jaguars to six shots and just three on goal. In the win at Western Illinois, McNeary scored the game-winner in the 71st minute from 18 yards out on her only shot of the weekend.
