SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota forward Katie Moller garnered The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor in her first attempt after the Fighting Hawks opened their new era with back-to-back road wins at Nicholls State and Southern, while Oral Roberts goalkeeper Ryliegh Bohnenstiehl captured Defensive Player of the Week accolades after helping lead the Golden Eagles to the UTRGV Tournament title with a pair of 1-0 victories.
Moller tallied a league-high five points and was the only league player to tally multiple goals during the opening weekend of the women's college soccer season. She scored a goal in the season opener vs. Nicholls State and added a goal and an assist in the 4-0 blanking of Southern. For UND, who joined The Summit League this past summer, it marked the first time the program has picked up back-to-back, season-opening road wins since the 2005 season.
Bohnenstiehl split time between the pipes for ORU, but started both shutout victories for the Golden Eagles. She recorded six saves en route to earning UTRGV All-Tournament Team accolades. With her latest defensive honor, Bohnenstiehl now has at least one accolade in each of the last three seasons and four total for her career.
