SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second consecutive week, a pair of first-timers garnered The Summit League Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolades. Denver midfielder Meg Halvorson collected the offensive accolade, while North Dakota goalkeeper Olivia Swenson secured the defensive honor.

Halvorson, the league's reigning freshman of the year, contributed to both goals during Denver's 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Columbia on Sunday. She scored the first goal against the Lions, then assisted on the game-winner in the 85th minute. The Pioneers also played Iowa State to a 0-0 tie on Friday.

Swenson continued her stellar play between the pipes, helping UND to a 3-0-1 start, which is its best during the program's Division I era (since 2008-09). The Chaska, Minn., native registered two more shutouts at the Montana Invitational this past weekend and the Fighting Hawks are one of two teams in the country that have yet to allow a goal this season.

In Friday's 1-0 win over Idaho, Swenson stopped five shots. She then fended off eight shots by host Montana in a 0-0 tie on Sunday. UND's 380-minute shutout streak to start the season is the second-longest in program history.
