SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The final Summit League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards went to an Omaha rookie that is just getting her career started and a South Dakota veteran that wrapped up an impressive collegiate career for the Coyotes.

Maverick freshman Kiana Dualan captured the offensive accolade in impressive fashion. She had not scored a goal in 11 career matches prior to finding a pair of tallies in a critical 2-1 victory over Western Illinois on Sunday that punched Omaha's first ticket to the Summit League Championship.

Dualan put the Mavericks on the board first with a goal in the closing seconds of the first half, then broke a 1-1 tie in the 61st minute with a goal that eventually cemented Omaha's postseason first postseason berth since joining the league in 2012. With the win, the Mavs finished fourth in the league standings, one point ahead of South Dakota.

Senior Parker Rytz did everything she could to get the Coyotes into the fourth position, but despite a five-save shutout in her final collegiate match, South Dakota finished the campaign with a 4-4 league record and 12 points. The shutout was the sixth of the season for the veteran netminder as she tied the program's single-season record in that department.

In a 1-0 loss to North Dakota State on Friday, Rytz made a career-high 11 saves against the Bison to keep the Coyotes within reach of the Bison, who ended up 6-2 and claiming the No. 3 seed at this week's league championship. Rytz finished the season with 90 saves, which was second among Summit League goalkeepers.
