IPFW’s Cobos, ORU’s Khatsko Claim Weekly Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. - IPFW's Andres Cobos and Oral Roberts' Iryna Khatsko were named as The Summit League's men's and women's tennis players of the week for their performances March 27-April 2.

Cobos garnered his first career honor after posting a 2-0 singles record and adding a doubles victory to help IPFW to a Summit League victory and a non-league win. At No. 3 singles, Cobos notched straight-set triumphs over Oral Roberts' Pedro Moreno (1 and 2) and St. Bonaventure's Elliot Fanshel (0 and 1). Against the Bonnies, he teamed with Junya Saruta for an 8-6 doubles win. Cobos improved to 9-8 in both singles and doubles play this season while helping the Mastodons to a pair of victories for a 10-8 overall record and 3-0 Summit League mark.

Iryna Khatsko, Oral Roberts

Khatsko collected her second career award, both this season, after posting identical 4-0 records in both singles and doubles to help Oral Roberts to a perfect 4-0 mark in Summit League action during the week. In a 5-2 victory over host IPFW that propelled the Golden Eagles into first place, Khatsko played the No.1 singles position and posted a straight-set win over Anita Henestrosa (1 and 4) while teaming with Kristin Gray at No. 2 doubles for an 8-6 win over Forsyth/Henestrosa. Khatsko also posted straight-set wins at No. 1 singles over South Dakota's Michelle Elkin (0 and 1) and South Dakota State's Bryna Nasenbeny (3 and 0). Against UMKC's Eva Dalvai, she won 6-1, 3-6, 6-0. Playing alongside Gray at No. 2 doubles, the ORU tandem notched 8-2 victories over UMKC and USD and an 8-6 triumph over SDSU. Khatsko improved to 7-4 in singles play this season and now owns a 7-2 doubles mark. ORU sits atop The Summit League with a 4-0 record.
